The JDD brand is growing in popularity, along with our reputation for honesty, transparency, and high quality at affordable prices. Following our recent relocation and renovation of our London showroom, we have been working to open a new showroom in the heart of Glasgow. It is located at Suite 1, 206 St Vincent Street, G2 5SY and is the ideal blend of history and modern innovation.
Design
We know a thing or two about design and visualisation, so our in-house designers and sales team created the blueprint for how to use the space. We also took inspiration from our London showroom, where possible, to build brand consistency and bring our new look to the nation.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do, and we actively try to improve daily, which is evident in our product production and interior design choices. We utilised a series of materials made from recycled industrial waste or natural sources.
The fabrics were chosen to reflect this, using a selection that is sustainable and/or naturally made, including:
- Camira Oceanic: Made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, including 50% SEAQUAL® YARN
- Camira Replay: Made from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Flame Retardant Polyester
- Camira Main Line Flax: Made from 75% Virgin Wool, 25% Flax Camira Sumi: Made from 90% Wool, 10% Polyamide
- Kvadrat Autumn - Made from 100% recycled polyester
- Kvadrat Steelcut Trio 3 - Made from 90% new wool, worsted 10% nylon
Our interior designers kept as many original features as possible, helping minimise excess waste. This attention to detail and dedication to sustainability has helped us limit our carbon footprint whilst refurbishing the showroom. The colours of the fabrics were mainly greens and blues to give a natural feeling and complement the plants used.
Using natural plants from Benholm Group throughout the showroom added a new depth. It created a real sense of openness, seamlessly merging indoors and outdoors.
Product offering
When equipping the new space, our aim was to showcase as many products as possible while maintaining a balance between open spaces. Walking around the showroom, you can see split areas dedicated to product ranges and how multiple offerings can complement one another.
Bob Rooms is our new flexible and customisable meeting room, allowing you to add an entire meeting room to your space without needing physical walls. View Bob Rooms
Athena is a media unit, available in high and low options, that adds a meeting point for meetings, presentations, or to take a break and grab a coffee. View Athena
Our Henry stool is the brainchild of our in-house product designer, Henry Watson. He wanted to build a stool we could completely manufacture at our HQ that would use minimal materials, be fast to make, and be comfortable and stylish. View Henry
Finally, with its playful and comfortable curves, Terry, our bubble sofa, creates welcoming breakout seating that was a real hit with everyone who saw it. Terry's modular nature means it can be configured to match your needs. View Terry
